About This School

Akira Yoga is a Yoga Alliance accredited school based at The Yoga Garden on Nusa Lembongan, a peaceful island just off the coast of Bali. Founded by Claire Green, who brings over 25 years of yoga practice and more than 3,000 hours of advanced teacher training, the school offers comprehensive yoga teacher training programs in an intimate, nature-surrounded setting. The open-air bamboo shala is nestled in a lush tropical garden, providing a tranquil sanctuary away from traffic and distractions where students can deepen their practice accompanied by ocean sounds and birdsong. The school specializes in integrating Vinyasa and Yin Yoga with Traditional Chinese Medicine, fascia anatomy, and meridian theory. Programs are intentionally kept small with a maximum of 16 students to ensure personalized attention and supportive learning. Beyond the mat, the experience includes daily breakfasts, shared meals, restaurant excursions, traditional Balinese blessing ceremonies, and island adventures. The teaching team includes experienced practitioners in Reiki, Breathwork, Ayurveda, and meditation, offering a truly holistic education that balances focused study with the gentle rhythm of island life.
